Chupo Tissue Case

No matter how much I tidied the house, the tissue box remained a small, persistent distraction. It brought back memories of the portable tissue covers I used to prepare for my children every morning during their school days.

I decided to scale that memory into a cover for the home, using Chupo—my favorite among all natural fibers. A blend of silk and hemp, Chupo possesses a unique texture where the structural lines of the weave often resemble a delicate painting.

To honor the fabric’s character, I kept the form minimal, adding only a few subtle blue stitches. I hope this piece serves as a quiet object of utility, blending seamlessly into the stillness of your daily life.
